Have you ever had the feeling that your car battery is dead? While in some cases this may be true. But the reality is that the biggest problems with the car battery is not the battery itself but from the wires connected to it. The spots where the wires are attached to the battery can get corroded, as a result the battery will not provide your car with as much power as it should. Believe it or not some people solve this problem with the help of Coca-Cola.
Pour Coca-Cola over the corroded places on the wires attached to the battery and scrub with a small brush, the Coke will get rid of the corrosion. You could also save on the cost of a new battery if you first try to charge the one you have. This often is enough to get it to work again.
There is also one more important thing you should know about a new car battery. The longer it stays on the shelf before someone buys it, the more it will degrade. Therefore when you decide to buy a new battery or you want your mechanic to replace a new one, look for the manufacture date of the battery. You should choose the battery that is less than a month old, otherwise you’ll have to replace it sooner than you are supposed to, either in a year or even in six months.
A good knowledge of your battery will save you a fortune in costs. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment box below, you could be helping someone somewhere.
