Using A Rope
The way to get a car out of the mud is to use a rope. It is best to use a tow rope or a chain, but any type of rope will do. The rope should be long enough to reach from the front bumper of the car all the way to solid ground. The rope can be attached to another car but a car with good traction (4X4) is always preferred to pull.
