What Happens If You Never Wash Your Car?

A dirty car is an undesirable sight to see, but aside from the unpleasantness of its looks, does this have a damaging effect on the surface of the car? Certainly it does. Since most of the vehicle parts are made from metal based materials, they are susceptible to wind and dirt damage. A poorly kept, dirty car will eventually fade in finishing. In extreme cases, you risk damaging the paint work resulting to rusting of the body of the vehicle.

Mud, dirt, rain, and even salty wind can attach themselves to the surface of the car. You may not notice this at first, but over time, the minerals that are in them can cause damage to your paint job. Washing your car with soap and water will flush these impurities away and help prevent the deterioration of your paint and even other parts of the car. A dirty car can also have safety implications because dirty windows and mirrors impair good vision for the driver.

Give Your Car A Good Wash Regularly

As a responsible car owner, it is your job to take every precaution to prolong the longevity of your car’s paintwork. When the dirt and gunk starts to accumulate around the doors and margins of your car, the wind will blow small dirt particles right over the paint surface. The constant hitting of dirt with car paint will result in scratching. Wash your car regularly and wax your car once every month or two months.
